Jillian Davis

Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Principal Artist

Anna Lane is an exceptionally thoughtful and intelligent dancer. I admired her consistent technique and diligent work ethic, but also her willingness to dive headfirst into a creation process and contribute to her constantly developing artistry.

ANNA LANE

Anna Lane was born in New York City and trained there in classical ballet and contemporary dance. She then attended two years at the Akademie des Tanzes Mannheim in Germany and graduated with a BA degree in 2023. Anna then continued her training at the Copenhagen Contemporary Dance School Post-Graduate Program in Copenhagen, Denmark, to further develop her experience in contemporary styles. She is now earning a MA degree in Dance Composition at Folkwang University of the Arts in Germany.

 

Anna has had the privilege to perform the solo Sogno Trascendentale choreographed by Teresa Curotti numerous times, including at the Tanzbiennale Heidelberg at HebelHalle (2023), the SOLOCOREOGRAFICO Solo Dance Festival at the Gallus Theater in Frankfurt (2023), and the Gdańsk Dance Festival Solo Dance Contest (2024).
